Francis Bread is excited to welcome two of our talented friends for a special Sunday Lunch on Salt Spring. Chef Lina Caschetto will be joined by Naramata natural wine maker Michael Shindler of "A Sunday in August" wines. The two will be collaborating to create a multi-course lunch paired with A Sunday in August wine and the bounty of Salt Spring Island.

Lunch will include wine (approx 2.5 glasses- option to purchase an additional glass). Vegetarian option is available. Please notify us of any dietary restrictons or allergies at least 48 hours in advance.

Chef Lina Caschetto

Lina Caschetto is a Vancouver-born chef, writer and food stylist who lives in Paris, France. She currently works as a freelance chef, travelling mostly between Canada and France, collaborating and creating authentic food-driven experiences wherever she lands. Her most recent culinary adventures have lead her to Arles, Singapore, Vietnam, Naramata and back again. She is the co-founder of Crushed, a weekly food and wine driven pop-up in Paris. Lina also writes a twice-monthly recipe column for The Globe and Mail.

Lina likes to let her menus be inspired by the seasons, always keen to serve the best of what her favourite farmers have to offer.

A Sunday in August Wine

Okangan based wine maker Michael Shinder produces small-batch, hand-crafted wine. His wines are naturally fermented, unfined and unfiltered, with only minimal sulphur added as preservative. His wines are pure, expressive and incredibly fun.
