North Saanich Flavour Trails Festival - 11th Annual
The 11th Annual North Saanich Flavour Trails Festival, Aug 17-19, 2019, is a fantastic weekend of local food, music, farm-life, community history and, of course, bounty from land and sea. Part rural ramble, part celebration, this FREE festival lets you explore what is being grown, harvested, made and served on the peninsula!!
22 venues and activities throughout North Saanich will be opening their doors and offering an array of tastes, learning opportunities, fun for all ages and behind-the-scenes glimpses into the rich working life of our growers and makers.
From watching ancient grain mills at work, to sipping local wines in the vineyard, or sampling roasted local meats hot off the spit, there is so much to savour. You’ll marvelling at what working sheep dogs can do and be overtaken by the mischievous cuteness of baby goats, ducks or miniature donkeys. There is so much to explore and experience! It is no surprise the festival continues to be a favourite in the Reader’s Choice Awards for Best Farm Event.
