Fresh Garden Salsa

Use fresh ingredients from your garden to create a colourful and zesty summer salsa.

Ingredients

SERVINGS: 3.5 Cup(s)
  • 2 cups fresh tomatoes, diced
  • 1 cup sweet onion, diced
  • 1 jalapeno (or to taste), minced with seeds removed
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup cilantro, chiffonade (finely sliced)
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp fresh ground pepper

Instructions

For a smoky version, cut your onion, jalapeño and tomato in half and grill them before chopping for salsa.


Gently stir the first 5 ingredients together, then season generously with lime juice, salt and pepper. Serve with tortilla chips or wide, thinly sliced vegetables.
