The Comox Valley Airport has been a hub of the Valley since 1996, and it now offers daily non-stop flights to and from Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton (and even a seasonal non-stop flight to Puerto Vallarta so you can escape the winter blues!). Air Canada, WestJet and Pacific Coastal all fly through YQQ.

On The Fly Cafe, in true Island style, has homemade lunches, dinners and baked goods and can cater to the gluten-free crowd. They are open at 4:30 a.m. seven days a week, so early flight hunger won’t be a problem. YQQ also has daily volunteers brimming with helpful information to offer passengers about boarding times, luggage and tourism and accomodation in the Comox Valley. And while you're waiting to pick someone up or waiting to depart yourself, make sure to pop in to Mid Island Gifts, where local Vancouver Island artists and artisans are featured. The store is continually rotating and showcasing new talent, so you'll probably find something new each time you visit!
