Rootside Provisions makes delicious local beverages on Vancouver Island. Their two primary brands, Rootside Soda and Esquimalt Wine Company, are definitely worth checking out when you're looking for high-quality Island products.

Rootside Soda makes delightfully refreshing soda mixers. Available in a variety of flavours (think Rosehip Lemonade, Root Beer, Ginger Beer and Cardamom Citrus), all you need to do is add some sparkling water (and maybe your favourite lcoal spirit) and you have a refreshing beverage ready for any occasion. 

Esquimalt Wine Company was just recently established in 2019 and is a winery focused on aperitif style wines. Their first product is an Italian style sweet Vermouth: Rosso Vermouth. They have more projects underway (a dry Vermouth and other herbal wine styles are currently in the works!) so this is a winery to keep your eye on.

Rootside Provisions and its brands are ran by a local couple, Quinn and Michela, who decided it was time to make their dreams a reality. Using fresh, whole, organic and local ingredients, every product is a labour of love and passion. Check out their products and you may soon find you have a favourite new go-to beverage.
