Driftwood Brewery

Driftwood Brewery is a Victoria-based craft brewery; born from the idea that you want to consume food and drink that brings you joy. With just four ingredients you can create myriad different beer styles, and in recent years, there have been many new hop varieties developed which are expanding the possibilities even more. Craft beer has been a part of Victoria’s food and beverage culture for more than 30 years, and Driftwood is grateful to have a place in this astute community of drinkers for the past 13 years.

After years of rapid growth, and operating out of three locations, Driftwood finally secured a lease to take over all 59,000 square feet of 836 Viewfield Rd., in early 2020. This meant that a year of navigating a global pandemic, happened to coincide with the move of an entire brewery - alongside huge renovations. Now consolidated, and with more than 14,000 extra square feet of space, the first-ever Driftwood tasting lounge + kitchen is nearing completion - with a highly anticipated opening in the fall. The extra space has also allowed Driftwood to purchase three 105hL French oak foeders; expanding the highly-regarded sour program, a pilot brew system; to play with one-off recipes (and bring back old favourites), and a state-of-the-art 5000 Litre Distillation system; launching Driftwood Spirits late-2021.
