Island Farmers' Markets

With the abundance of Island farmers' market locations (many of which are open year-round), it's easy to shop local. All the markets are taking appropriate precations to ensure a safe shopping experience and would love to see you supporting their hard-working vendors. 

North Island
 

The Port McNeill Farmers’ and Artisans’ Market runs from July to October on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 1594 Beach Dr. at McNeill Rd.

North Central Island
 

The Comox Valley Farmers' Market runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays at the Native Sons Hall from October to April, and at the Comox Valley Exhibition Grounds from April to October.

An offshoot of the year-round Comox Valley Farmers’ Market also takes place in Cumberland from July to September at the Cumberland Village Square from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

During the summer (July to September), the Pier Street Farmers' Market and Arts Fair, located at the Campbell River Community Center, is open on Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Central Island
 

The Errington Farmers' Market assembles from May to October on Saturdays at 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. They're located just two kilometers off the Alberni Hwy., enroute to Englishman River Falls at 1550 Veterans Rd.

Shop at the Qualicum Beach Farmers' Market year-round on Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Find them at the corner of Memorial Ave. and Veterans Way, at 644 Memorial Ave.

From May to October, visit Cedar Farmers' Market in Nanaimo on Sundays from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 pm at Woodbank Primary School.

Operating year-round in Nanaimo, the Island Roots Market Co-op is open on Wednesdays. From May to October, it takes place in Beban Park from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 pm, and from October to May 5 it takes place inside the Centennial Building from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Visit the Nanaimo Downtown Farmers’ Market on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m during the months of May to September. Find them at the Pioneer Waterfront Plaza.

Cowichan
 

The Duncan Farmers' Market is open year-round on Saturdays. From April to October they are open 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from October to March from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Find them by the city hall at 200 Craig St.

South Island
 

Visit the Esquimalt Farmers' Market from April to December on Thursday evenings from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 1230 Esquimalt Road. The location does vary sometimes, so check their website for updates.

The North Saanich Farm Market is open on Saturdays at St John's United Church from June to October, 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Visit the Peninsula Country Market from June to October on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Saanich Fairgrounds. From November to December they are open on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Mary Winspear Parking Lot

On Saturdays from July to October, visit the Sooke Country Market between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. They are located adjacent to the city hall building/fire hall at 2201 Otter Point Rd.

The James Bay Community Market is open on Saturdays during the months of May to September from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Find them at 494 Superior St. at Menzies St.

Shop the Moss Street Market Saturdays from May to October, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Moss Street & Fairfield Road. From November to April, find them on Saturdays at 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Garry Oak Room.

Victoria
 

During summer evenings from July to Septemeber, shop the Oaklands Sunset Market on Wednesdays from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. They set up at Oaklands Community Centre.

Gulf Islands
 

The Denman Island Farmers' Market runs May to October on Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Find them at 1591 Denman Road.

On Saturdays from May to October, visit the Gabriola Farmers' Market from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at AGI Hall.

Pender Island Farmers' Market is open from May to October on Saturdays. They operate from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Pender Island Community Hall.

Visit the Salt Spring Tuesday Farmers’ Market from June to October, 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Centennial Park on Saturdays.

Pacific Rim
 

The Spirit Square Farmers' Market in Port Alberni is open year-round on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Spirit Square at the Harbour Quay.
