Victoria’s International Wine Festival Returns!
The Victoria International Wine Festival showcases over 300 wines from around the world on September 19-21st.
The highly anticipated Victoria International Wine Festival returns this September to the beautiful Parkside Hotel and Spa. The Festival will span three days, taking place from Thursday, September 19th to Saturday, September 21st, 2019. The Festival is broken down into three tasting sessions, each lasting 2.5 hours. Attendees can enjoy a variety of over 300 wines being showcased from 11+ countries.
The exclusive international event is hosted within the Parkside Hotel’s elegant indoor-outdoor setting as summer winds down in gorgeous Victoria, B.C. Unique to the Festival is an annually featured spotlight country. This year, Wines of Argentina is being enthusiastically welcomed as the 2019 regional feature; a dedicated section at the Festival will highlight wines poured by principals from this region. The Festival will also focus on special seminars on Argentinean wine. The Festival aims to increase guests’ wine knowledge while highlighting affordable wines.
During the public tasting sessions, sommeliers will mingle with attendees throughout the Festival grounds, assisting tasters by answering questions, making suggestions, and facilitating new finds. The Festival is proud to welcome all wine palates to the event. “We focus on creating an environment that is a welcoming place to sample wine for everyone,” says David Bain, Festival Director. “We want people to be able to gain knowledge about new wines in a format that isn’t intimidating; we then match this experience with another, where wines selected by a panel of sommeliers will impress even the most experienced wine enthusiast.”
