Based in Campbell River, Natalie Gates is a website copywriter for small businesses and BC Ale Trail blog editor by day. One of her greatest passions, though, is food—eating it, cooking it, learning about it, and, best of all, travelling to experience it. She loves discovering the stories behind cuisine and the complex ways food is woven into history and culture. When she’s not strategizing marketing assets and writing up a storm, she’s usually seeking out a fantastic meal, trying a new recipe, or exploring Vancouver Island’s majestic outdoors.
