Comox Valley Microgreens delivers freshly picked microgreens to your door—fresh as in, delivered to you the same day they are picked, making it an easy way to make sure you’re getting some healthy green options in your diet this winter.

Rain Dogs in Victoria recently closed their doors, but a new restaurant is taking their place. Eva Schnitzelhaus just opened their doors this month, offering a fresh and fun interpretation of German, Swiss and Austrian classics. 

Upward Refillery in Parksville will be opening later this month, bringing the area sustainable and waste-free shopping. Bring your containers, weigh them and fill them with pantry, household, grocery, and self care products with their selection of curated GMO-free, organic, vegan, gluten-free and local products. 

Dumpling Drop is now the resident kitchen operators at the new Driftwood Brewery in Esquimalt. Handmade dumplings and a pint of local beer? Don’t mind if we do.

Mosi Bakery has opened up a new store called Mosi Acqua Cotta in Saanich. You can find the new location filled with their popular treats, coffee, sandwiches and more at 4649 West Saanich Road.

The hotly anticipated arrival of Superflux {Cabana} in Victoria has so far lived up to the hype, with the 55-seat Las Vegas-inspired location offering ten of Superflux’s (Vancouver brewery) own beers. The summer will see an additional 60 seats with the opening of a rooftop patio.

Victoria Distillers now has a location at the YYJ airport, so if you’re heading out of town via airplane, stop by for a sample and bottle of their Empress 1908 Gin that they produce onsite—the perfect gift to bring family and friends.

A new specialty British shop called Limey is opening its doors in Victoria and offers all things British, from sweets and crisps to bangers and black pudding—nostalgic for those with British connections, and a fun new place to check out for everyone else.

Roots Rising recently opened a storefront at 5038 Beaufort Road, Union Bay. They offer incredible vegan, keto, paleo, dairy & sugar free breads, baked goods & specialty cakes.

The Art of Slow Food has opened a storefront at 140-780 Fisgard St, Victoria. They offer sourdough that is gluten free (celiac friendly), vegan, sugar free, soy free, handmade and organic.

Old Spaghetti Factory is supporting the Junior Culinary Team Canada as they compete on the world culinary stage. Starting November 6, 2021, the Old Spaghetti Factory has launched a dish specifically designed for them by Junior Culinary Team Canada, which includes member Ottis Crabbe who hails from Tofino.

Congratulations to the Oak Bay Beach Hotel, which Condé Nast Traveler recently revealed as their top pick for Canada’s best hotel in 2021. One glance at their idyllic photos and it’s easy to see why they were ranked #1!
