Vancouver Island is host to some of the world's most delicious food and talented artisans. Check out our Island Pantry to get a taste of our newest "made right here" items.

1.  Smoked Salmon from Salish Sea Foods in Comox is the perfect addition to your seafood chowder or charcuterie board.

2.  The Deerholme Foraging Book, by Chef Bill Jones of Deerholme Farm in the Cowichan Valley, is a great resource for recipes and information about foraging on the Island.

3.  Mitchell’s Extra Special Bitter was brewed in honour of the late John Mitchell—original brewmaster of Spinnakers in Esquimalt, and the grandfather of Canadian craft beer.

4.  Catie’s Hot Dilled Beans in Qualicum Beach is where we go for pickled veggies and preserves that are even better than our own homemade.

5.  Salish Seas Market in Bowser offers an amazing selection of local craft and pantry items; and we fell in love with this hand-turned maple bowl by artisan Jim Whyte.
